Industrial Visit to National Foods Limited
On November 1, 2016, a group of forty BBA-5 students visited the industrial unit of National Foods Limited (NFL) located at Port Qasim, under the supervision of Ms. Sadia Mehboob, Ms. Erum Fatima and Ms. Bushra Mahmood. The objective of the visit was to provide students with a first-hand opportunity to learn about the Operations Management, Organizational Behavior and Marketing Management of NFL.
The tour began with NFL representatives apprising students of the various safety measures and providing them with masks and lab coats to wear during the tour. The students first visited the Pickle Production Unit and observed the processes involved in producing various types of pickles. The group then proceeded to the Spice Processing Unit where they saw how raw spices are cleaned and processed through dehydration and grinding. The students then advanced to the Jelly Production Unit where they were acquainted with the preservation processes of fruit pulps and juices. The tour ended with a refreshment session during which students benefitted from a rare opportunity to interact with the managing staff of NFL.
Overall, the visit was highly educational and was thoroughly enjoyed by the students. This visit would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of Ms. Sadia Mehboob.
