Seminar on Understanding Mental Health

On November 29, 2017, DHA Suffa University (DSU) organized a Seminar on Understanding Mental Health to observe the World Mental Health Day. The seminar, attended by students and faculty members of DHA institutions and DSU, aimed at elevating the overall mental well-being of participants and equipping them with tools to protect their peers from mental health problems.

Ms. Kiran Mushtaq (Assistant Medical Director, TIS), Dr. Shahid Iqbal (Assistant Professor, FUUAST) and Dr. Syed Shameem Ejaz (Assistant Professor, IoBM) offered tips to address mental health illnesses and addictions in a meaningful manner. In addition, they shared techniques on managing stress, conflicts and toxic ideologies. The speakers lauded the efforts of DSU in contributing to the mental well-being of its students and employees. The seminar concluded with a panel discussion during which questions of the audience were answered.
