Students of DHA Suffa University Volunteer at The Indus Hospital for Data Collection and Distribution of Eid Gifts

On June 6 and 7, 2018, a group of 12 students from DHA Suffa University volunteered for a two-day data collection and Eid gift distribution activity at The Indus Hospital. The objective of this program that earned students 6 hours of community service was to provide them with an opportunity to interact with children at the hospital and gain valuable insights by understanding the process of data collection.

On the first day of the program, students were divided into two teams. The girls were sent to wards where they collected patient data pertaining to their disease, age, gender, duration of admission etc. The boys were assigned the task of managing gifts for the children by assembling, organizing, categorizing and packing them into cartons. On the second day, students were once again divided into teams and were sent to different wards in the hospital to distribute gifts to patients. The students also assisted in data collection of the patients who received gifts and helped in organizing the left-over cartons and toys.
