Champions Future-Ready Education with New AI Deployment Framework Initiative
In a major stride toward academic modernization, DHA Suffa University (DSU) formally convened its 1st Artificial Intelligence Steering Committee meeting. Mandated with deploying an AI framework across all university tiers, DSU is proactively responding to the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) latest directives to instill technological proficiency in the next generation of professionals.
The meeting, chaired by Engr. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hussain (Dean of Engineering & Applied Sciences), brought together internal academic leaders and external tech and academic heavyweights from FAST-NUCES, SZABIST, Iqra University, and VectraCom Solutions to collaborate on an institutional roadmap.
Key Strategic Progress & Framework Achievements:
- Undergraduate AI Exposure: DSU is paving the way to introduce a mandatory 3-credit hour exposure to AI tools and practical concepts across all undergraduate degree programs—with a deliberate focus on tailoring lightweight, engaging content for non-computing disciplines.
- Responsible Postgraduate Research: Acknowledging both the power and the current limitations of AI detection software, the university has mobilized a special team to create a balanced institutional policy for postgraduate theses. The goal is to train students to leverage AI responsibly for data generation and processing, along with grammar enhancement, while maintaining strict research integrity.
- A Broad Operational Vision: Work is underway to establish a comprehensive “AI Deployment Framework Vision” that will seamlessly weave intelligent technology into DSU’s teaching, research, and institutional operations.
By fostering strong industry-aligned partnerships and prioritizing ethical boundaries, DSU is ensuring its students graduate not just tech-aware but highly competitive and employable in an AI-driven global economy.
