Prof. Dr. Arif Hussain
Professor & HOD (Basic Sciences)
Dr. Muhammad Arif Hussain is a Professor in Basic Sciences Department at Suffa University, Karachi. He has completed B.Sc. (Honrs.) in Mathematics and M. Sc. in Applied Mathematics from University of Karachi, M. Sc. In Nuclear Engineering from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Ph.D. in Mathematics from Federal Urdu University, Karachi. He has served Computer Division at Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (PINSTECH), Islamabad as scientist and senior scientist for more than ten years. He has also served as Principal scientist and Senior Head Academics at KANUPP Institute of Power Engineering, Karachi. In addition, he has also taught at undergraduate and graduate levels at several universities in Karachi. His research interests are Advanced Engineering Mathematics, Optimization Techniques, Stochastic Techniques and Stochastic Calculus, and Data Analysis. He has number of research papers to his credit and has supervised more than twenty five MS scholars and currently supervising one PhD scholar. He has about 30 years of teaching and research experience.

Mr. Muhammad Atif Idrees

Profile Summary:
Mr. Muhammad Atif Idrees is doing his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Karachi and received his M.Phil. (Space Science) and M.Sc. (Applied Mathematics) degrees from the University of Karachi. He started his teaching career as a full-time faculty at National Textile University in November 2012-July 2016 as a Lecturer/Coordinator. He then joined DHA SUFFA University (DSU) as a Mathematics Senior Lecturer in the period August 2016-August 2019, then he joined Mohammad Ali Jinnah University in the period of September 2019- April 2022.
Currently, he is engaged at DHA SUFFA University (DSU) as a Mathematics Senior Lecturer in Basic Sciences Department. He is working and interested to do research in Data Analysis, Mathematical and statistical modeling, and Computational Mathematics.
