PO NO Program Objective
PO-1 To have the ability to apply computing knowledge, skills, and competencies from multiple technology domains for futuristic needs required at global levels.
PO-2 To be able to solve real world problems by applying technical knowledge, and utilizing modern industry tools to achieve continued success with eloquent communication in teams.
PO-3 To demonstrate ethical conduct, team player spirit, life-long learning attitude, readiness to adapt, risk-taking behavior and involvement in their profession to fulfill societal responsibilities.

INDUSTRIAL LIAISON

The Department of Computer Science at DSU has launched initiatives with various software houses, IT companies, and professional bodies to keep the curriculum up to date and aligned with industry demands. To achieve this, the department is focusing on various training programs for both students and faculty. Furthermore, seminar sessions by senior IT entrepreneurs and professionals are being held to motivate students and guide them in envisioning themselves as future entrepreneurs. The department also plans to develop technology incubators in the near future, enabling students to work on real-world projects during their vacations or as part of their coursework.

CAREERS

The Department of Computer Science at DSU has taken steps to advance the careers of its students by collaborating with various software houses and IT companies. Computer Science graduates from DSU can pursue a wide range of careers, including IT Entrepreneur, Information Technology Manager, Information Technology Consultant, Software Architect, System Analyst, Software Engineer, Web Application Developer, Database Administrator, Network Administrator, Software Quality Assurance Analyst, and Faculty Member in academia, among others. There are numerous opportunities available for DSU’s Computer Science graduates both within Pakistan and abroad. Research and development is also a promising career path for CS graduates. Further academic advancement can be pursued through an MS, PhD, or professional certifications.
