The ๐Œ๐„๐‘๐‹ (๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ฌ ๐‘๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐‹๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ) team from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) visit to the Micro Electronics Research Lab – MERL DSU on 25th January 2024 at DHA Suffa University (Official). During the visit, the SSUET team had the opportunity to witness the latest achievement of MERL DSU a newly received silicon designed through their participation in the ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ข-๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐–๐š๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ (๐Œ๐๐–-๐Ÿ & ๐Œ๐๐–-๐Ÿ”), sponsored by Google, Efabless Corporation (efabless.com), and SkyWater Technology.

The MERL DSU team took the initiative to showcase their advanced capabilities by presenting the newly fabricated silicon to the SSUET visitors. This accomplishment marked a significant milestone for the DSU chapter, highlighting their commitment to cutting-edge research and innovation in the field of microelectronics.

In addition to the silicon demonstration, the MERL DSU team organized a comprehensive ๐…๐๐†๐€ (๐…๐ข๐ž๐ฅ๐-๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐†๐š๐ญ๐ž ๐€๐ซ๐ซ๐š๐ฒ) tutorial for the visiting SSUET team. This tutorial aimed to provide insights into FPGA technology, its applications, and practical aspects of its implementation. The interactive session facilitated knowledge exchange and served as a platform for collaboration between the two MERL chapters.

The visit not only strengthened the ties between MERL DSU and MERL SSUET but also provided a valuable opportunity for knowledge sharing and collaboration in the dynamic field of microelectronics.
