Session on “Entrepreneurial Mindset”

A talk was arranged by Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development (CEID) at DHA Suffa University on the topic of “Entrepreneurial Mindset”. The speaker, Mr. Khurram Mujtaba (CEO of Jump Start Pakistan and Moftak Solution) who is a Visionary Serial Entrepreneur, Investor, and a prominent Strategist, discussed key points of being a successful entrepreneur, to have an entrepreneurial mindset and described his experience to students on how his whole journey started. Mr. Khurram also motivated students to be a leader, to control and determine their own destiny. It was a very interesting event, and concluded with an interactive Q&A session.

Seminar on “Building Digital Marketing Strategy for Startups”

On May 20th, 2019, The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation Development (CEID) at DHA Suffa University organized a seminar on “Building Digital Marketing Strategy for Startups”. The speaker, Mr. Safeer – e – Hussain, himself is Director Operations of ‘Digital Eggheads’ which is a renowned digital marketing agency. Mr. Hussain has a strong background on digital marketing and has experience of managing digital strategies for many local and international organizations. The aim of this event was to provide a practical insight into the marketing aspects for young startups via digital platform, and discuss tools that would help improve their digital footprint in the market. The speaker took a step by step approach for developing a digital strategy for young startups and relating the talk with various local and international examples. The students enjoyed the talk and resulted in an interactive lively session.

Seminar on “The Entrepreneurial Journey”

The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation Development (CEID) at DHA Suffa University organized a seminar on “The Entrepreneurial Journey” to promote the entrepreneurial mindset among students of DHA Suffa University. The speaker, Mr. Nazir Ahmed Vaid (Chairman at NexSource Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd.) who is also serial entrepreneur, a prominent mentor and an investor enlightens students about the economic as well social benefits of being an entrepreneur, and how it plays a  much diverse role at both micro and macro scale.

Lecture on ‘Electrical Safety’

A lecture on ‘Electrical Safety’ was recently delivered by Karachi Electric personnel at DHA Suffa University. It was arranged by the Professional Development Centre of DHA Suffa University, where students from our electrical department got to learn a lot from the industry practices shared by senior K.E. personnel.

The speakers shared their valuable insights on the following key areas:

  • Electric Shock
  • Hierarchy of Controls
  • Clearance and Voltage Level
  • Step and Touch Potential
  • Battery Related Hazard and Safety
  • Domestic (Office & House) Electrical Safety

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A round, and was part of EPC (Enhancing Professional Competencies) sessions at DSU which aim to create relevance between the concepts taught in the classroom and their real-world applications.

Lecture on ‘Pakistan Stock Exchange – Learn to Invest’

A lecture on ‘Pakistan Stock Exchange – Learn to Invest’ was recently delivered by Mr. Rizwan Khan & Mr. Faizan Ahmed. Mr. Rizwan Khan is an expert in the field of finance and a CFA qualified professional. Mr. Faizan Ahmed is the Head of Research at Optimus Capital Management (Pvt) Limited. The speakers shared some best practices, case studies, and the dynamics of the Pakistan Stock Market, highlighting the opportunities and encouraged the youth to start early at savings & investments.

The speakers addressed an auditorium full of industry professionals, subject matter enthusiasts and students, and the session concluded with an interactive Q&A round. The lecture was arranged by the Professional Development Centre of DHA Suffa University as part of the DSU Professional Round-Up.

Farewell Party and Annual Dinner

On the 4th of May, DHA SUFFA UNIVERSITY arranged an annual dinner along with Farewell party for the students of the graduating batch Spring 2019. There were number of activities conducted by the students, they participated in number of performances like singing drama and motivational speech etc. The Vice Chancellor and the Dean were invited along with the faculty members of each department to encourage the students. This auspicious night was ended on a happy note with the scrumptious dinner and high spirit! DHA SUFFA UNIVERSITY conveys its heartiest wishes for the graduating batch Spring 2019 and wish them good luck for their future endeavors.
